The accelerated personal care home administrator training offered through Penn State York Continuing Education, has been credited with helping students prepare for careers. Multiple sections of the course are being offered for fall, via Zoom.
Penn State York will honor the work of Chancellor Emeritus Joel Rodney and Judith Rodney with a celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 12, from noon to 2 p.m., when a meeting room in the Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration will be named in their honor. Speeches and a ribbon-cutting are set for 12:15 p.m.

Penn State York invites the campus and community to travel "across the spider-verse" with a free showing of “Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse” set for Friday, Sept. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center on campus. From mid-September through the end of October, Penn State units at campuses across the commonwealth will be holding events in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. This year's overall theme is "Nuestra Comunidad Latina: Celebrating a Thriving Community."
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15-Oct. 15, Penn State York has a variety of activities scheduled. A free performance by Andes Manta is set for Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center on campus.
Penn State York volleyball team members, coaches, and the campus will continue to keep Courtney Groft’s memory alive with a Gift of Life Fundraiser Game set for Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. in the gym of the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center on campus when they take on Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Groft, then a first-year student at York campus, died in a car accident on Oct. 30, 2021, and in her death gave life to others through organ donation.
Submissions for the online literary magazine “Any Other Word" and the Penn State York Literary Competition are being accepted until Oct. 31. Student editor Calvin Bellomo encourages other students to submit their work.
Penn State York has partnered with the Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) to offer a business-related workshop through a program called the HACC Symposium.
