The associate degree programs at Penn State York boast an almost 100 percent job placement rate and are an excellent credential to earn on the way to a baccalaureate degree if students desire to do so.
Business Administration - The associate degree program in Business Administration provides a foundation in business that, through two options, prepares graduates for either entrance to the bachelor of science in business (BSB) programs in business or for direct entry into the workplace.
Electrical Engineering Technology - The associate degree in electrical engineering technology (2 EET) helps prepare graduates for technical positions in the expanding fields of electronics, computers and microprocessors, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
Human Development and Family Studies – This associate degree in human development and family studies integrates practical and academic experiences to provide the student with entry-level professional competence in the human service field.
Information Sciences and Technology - This associate degree is structured to prepare graduates for immediate and continuing employment opportunities in the broad disciplines of information sciences and technology.
Mechanical Engineering Technology - This associate degree in mechanical engineering technology (2MET) helps graduates prepare for technical positions in manufacturing, machine and tool design, computer drafting and design, computer integrated manufacturing, materials selection and processes, technical sales, and other related industries in mechanical applications.
In addition to five associate degrees that can be completed in York, the campus offers twelve baccalaureate degrees, six minors, and a master’s degree. Interested students can find a number of undergraduate research opportunities available within their degree programs and can have the opportunity to work alongside Penn State York faculty members. These opportunities can include attending and presenting at conferences, authoring papers, and participating in research fairs.
Penn State York also offers the first two years of the University’s more than 275 academic program through the 2 + 2 program.
