Scholarships
Scholarships at Penn State York continue to open doors for students to achieve their dreams of obtaining a Penn State degree. Scholarship support takes the pressure off many of our students, and their families, to work multiple jobs to pay for tuition. These awards will allow students to focus more on getting involved in the campus community – join clubs, participate in undergraduate research opportunities, and join athletic teams – allowing them to take advantage of all the experiences Penn State York has to offer.
Transformational Programs
Donations for transformational programming, beyond the academic offerings, can provide opportunities for our students to build soft skills, develop critical thinking skills, and enhance their leadership styles and capabilities. They can choose to get involved with the Graham Fellows Program for Entrepreneurial Leadership (Graham Fellows Program) , participate in programming and workshops though the Center for Inclusive Leadership (CIL), compete nationally with the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate chapter at Penn State York, just to name a few of the co-curricular options supported by philanthropy at Penn State York.
Athletic Programs
Donations to support our athletics program and our student athletes enable students to include their love for sports in their college careers at Penn State York. The program focuses on five CORE Values: accountability, courage, diligence, integrity, and respect, to both help our teams be successful and provide important life lessons to prepare them for success at and beyond Penn State York.
Research Experiences and Faculty Support
WE ARE proud that at Pen State York our research faculty provide opportunities, usually offered to graduate students, for our undergraduate students to learn with them. Donations provide funding for experiences in the campus laboratory environment and in a field environment. The opportunity for students to participate in the field is exciting, raw, and pertinent. Students perform full-blown field research studies and develop the types of techniques and problem-solving skills only honed through the unpredictable nature of field work.
Gifts to support or endow faculty chairs and professorships provide support to assemble and maintain the distinguished faculty members who are at the core of the campus’ academic success. These positions provide honor and recognition for those who hold them, and a stable, dependable source of income for teaching and research materials, library acquisitions, salary supplements, and travel assistance.
