On-Campus Visit Requirements
We are pleased to welcome you to our campus. We offer options for both individual and multiple family tours weekly as well as other options to visit us. As COVID-19 continues to impact us, please monitor communications from Penn State if there are COVID-19-related updates.
- Masking – As of March 23, 2022, wearing a mask is optional for visitors at Penn State York.
- If you or anyone in your party becomes ill, you must contact Penn State to cancel your visit. We will be happy to try to reschedule it for a later date.
- Any student under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or other designated adult.
- Penn State reserves the right to alter or cancel any portion of this event at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to shifts in the status of the pandemic or relevant and applicable guidance, or individual participants violating University policy.
During the academic year, we are offering campus tours Mondays and Fridays at 3:00 p.m.
Most of your tour will be outside of our campus buildings with six designated tour stops.

Virtual Information Sessions and Tours
Our Virtual Information Session and Tour is for prospective students of all ages, who are interested in learning more about both Penn State and its application process. Your interactive visit will include a virtual campus tour and information session presented by an admissions counselor, who will be available to answer any of your questions during the session.
Virtual Transfer Student Appointments
Transfer student appointments provide transfer students an opportunity to meet virtually with an admissions counselor to discuss the transfer application process, and how their previously earned college credits might transfer into Penn State. Registrants should plan to provide unofficial college transcripts for this virtual appointment. Register for an appointment by emailing Erin Nelsen at [email protected], or call 717-771-4114.
Welcome to Penn State York and the Self-Guided Tour. Visit campus and take this eleven-stop QR code tour to learn more about what Penn State York has to offer. The blue tour-stop signs are located by the main entrances of each building. This tour is at your own pace and does not need to be scheduled. Please contact the admissions office at 717-771-4040 if you have questions.
An Admissions Counselor can meet with prospective students in person, remotely either via Zoom or a phone call.
Due to compliance guidelines, a parent, guardian, or an adult 18 years or older must be present during the appointment. If an adult cannot be present during your appointment, please contact the Penn State York Office of Admission and we will schedule your meeting with two Penn State staff members.
Please reach out to us directly at [email protected] or 717-771-4040 to schedule a time to meet with us.
