Discover the dances of the Nordic region when the Nordic Dancers of Washington, D.C., take to the stage for a free performance at the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center at Penn State York. The group is set to perform at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19. The event free and open to the public. This is the 2017-18 kickoff event for Teaching International at Penn State York.

Penn State York is offering the technical engineering course EMET 402 Fundamentals of Engineering Review for fall 2017. Current students with seventh-semester standing or higher, engineering graduates, and others in the engineering field are eligible to take the course.

Joan Smeltzer, instructor in mathematics at Penn State York, has been named the recipient of the Teresa Cohen Mathematics Service Award for 2017. This is a University-wide award with two recipients, one at University Park and one at a Commonwealth Campus.
