Luke Marsiglia, right, a Penn State York student who is a part of The Graham Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies at Penn State York, receives congratulations and a medallion from Donald Graham, chairman and founder of the Graham Group, whose generous donations have made The Graham Center possible at Penn State York. Marsiglia graduates Friday night, Dec. 14, with a bachelor of science degree in electro-mechanical engineering technology and will wear his Graham medallion there. Marsiglia will begin a full-time position as an associate electrical engineer at Graham Engineering on Dec. 18.

This popular end-of-semester event is a free event for members of the Penn State York community.

Penn Players, the Penn State York drama club, is set to perform “Almost, Maine,” a full-length play by John Cariani, at 6 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 4 on the main stage of the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center at the campus. The program is free and open to the public, and tickets are not needed.

Maddie Hill to be honored, remembered at York basketball games Dec. 7

“I am not afraid. I was born to do this.” These words from the late Maddie Hill, as she battled cancer, continue to inspire the Penn State York community to honor her during the third annual Maddie Hill Basketball Games on Friday, Dec. 7. Hill was 19 when she died on June 29, 2016, after battling cancer three times.

Maddie Hill Plaque

Penn State York will honor the late Maddie Hill on Tuesday, Jan. 14, in a ceremony between the women's and men's basketball games. This plaque hangs in the student affairs office at Penn State York as a remembrance of her heroic fight against cancer and her dedication to the cause. Hill battled cancer three times and never gave up on finding a cure for pediatric cancer. She canned with Penn State York Benefiting THON and was an active member of the group even while undergoing chemotherapy. Hill died on June 29, 2016.
