Katwiwa to share her spoken word poetry at Penn State York

The spoken word poetry of Mwende “FreeQuency” Katwiwa will be featured in a noon-hour presentation on Feb. 27 at Penn State York. The performance will focus on her poetry related to race, and is part of Penn State York's Black History Month celebration.

 Mwende "FreeQuency" Katwiwa will share her spoken word poetry at Penn State York on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 12:15 p.m. in the Precision Custom Components (PCC) Community Room.  The program is free and open to the public.

Pulitzer-prize winning journalist to speak at Penn State York

Nicholas, Kristof, a two-time Pulitzer-prize winner and New York Times columnist, will share his experiences in a presentation at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Penn State York. He will speak on the topic, "Why Students Should Care About the World – and Change It." Kristof has spent his career advocating for human rights.

Nicholas Kristof, a two-time Pulitzer-prize winner and New York Times columnist, is set to speak at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, in Penn State York's Pullo Family Performing Arts Center. He will share his experiences in a presentation titled "Why Students Should Care About the World - and Change It." The program is free and open to the public.

Penn State Community Survey

Take the Penn State Community Survey beginning Feb. 3

On Feb. 3, all students, faculty and staff members at every Penn State campus location will receive an email to take the Penn State Community Survey to share their attitudes and experiences of community, diversity and inclusion at Penn State. Every 100 survey takers will have a chance to win an Amazon or Starbucks gift card.
