Toys for Tots 2019 at York

Members of the Student Veterans of America (SVA), York Chapter, put together Toys for Tots boxes to gather as many toys as possible for needy children and their families.  Collections bins are spread throughout the campus and donations can be made until noon on Thursday, Dec. 19.  Cameron Flemmens, president of the SVA at Penn State York; Walter Packowski, and Robert Reynolds, left to right, all student-veterans, are hoping for a successful toy drive.

The Toys for Tots campaign is under way at Penn State York with a variety of collection boxes located around the campus.  Deadline for donating toys is Dec. 14.

Toys for Tots campaign underway at Penn State York

Penn State York’s veterans organization, Student Veterans of America (SVA), York Chapter, is sponsoring a Toys for Tots drive on campus. New, unopened, and unwrapped toys will be collected through Dec. 9. The toys, for children ages newborn through 12 years old, will be distributed to less fortunate children in the community through the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation in York, Pennsylvania. Community members are welcome to bring donations to the campus.

Hundreds of toys collected at Penn State York

Snoopy, dinosaurs, Ninja Turtles, Barbies, aircraft, and a variety of stuffed animals were gathered at Penn State York during the Toys for Tots campaign sponsored by the Student Veterans of America (SVA), York Chapter at the campus. Hundreds of new, unopened, and unwrapped toys were collected through Dec. 9, and then turned over to the First Capital Marine Corps League Toys for Tots program.

Making the holiday season a little brighter for children is something the Student Veterans of America (SVA), York County Chapter, enjoys doing. Once again, they have joined forces with the First Capital Marine Corps League for a Toys for Tots drive. The collection of new, unopened, and unwrapped toys continues through Dec. 9 on campus.
