Penn State York will once again honor the late Maddie Hill during a ceremony on Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the campus. Hill battled cancer three times and her life continues to be an inspiration for others. The words "Fight Like Hill" have come to serve as a mantra for her strength at battling cancer.
There will be plenty of pomp and circumstance when Penn State York celebrates the accomplishments of students during the fall commencement set for 6 p.m. in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center on campus.
OLLI at Penn State travel opportunities, which range from one-day local excursions to multi-day international adventures, provide a chance to explore and learn both near and far. Trips include unique learning and sightseeing, opportunities to create camaraderie among trip participants, and great food.
Penn State York is seeking nominations for the "Paws Up" award designed to recognize an outstanding staff member for their work. Submissions are being accepted online until 5 p.m. Dec. 11.
Applications are being accepted now through Jan. 23, 2024, for the Idea TestLab, a free, four-week, virtual accelerator designed to help entrepreneurs determine the viability of their business idea. For Logan Kline, graduating on Friday, Dec. 15, at Penn State York, the academic regalia he will wear has special meaning. Kline will wear his tassel for the class of 2023, but his other commencement attire is all in honor of his father, who will be in attendance when his son graduates with his bachelor's degree in biology.
Penn State York is offering a free FAFSA information session from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, to provide an overview of the changes to the federal financial aid application process.
