YORK, Pa. — Changes have been made to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and students entering colleges and universities for summer or fall 2024 will need to complete the new application. Penn State York is offering a free FAFSA information session from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, to provide an overview of the changes to the federal financial aid application process. To be eligible for student aid, a FAFSA application must be completed regardless of the college or university a student plans to attend. The session will take place in the Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration on campus.

“What are the changes and how could this affect you?” said Kristen Fowler, financial aid coordinator at Penn State York, who will lead the session. “If you are interested in learning more about the enhancements to the FAFSA form, please sign up to attend our FAFSA information session.”

Those who attend should bring a laptop or another device to be able to log in to studentaid.gov. Fowler recommends that students create their FSA-ID during the session.

Register for the session online here.

Penn State York will be closed for winter break from Friday, Dec. 22, through Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. The campus will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.
