YORK, Pa. — Nominations are still being accepted for the “Paws Up” award, but the Dec. 11 deadline is just around the corner. The award, given to a staff member, recognizes someone who is positive, provides exemplary customer service, collaborates with colleagues, and goes beyond their assigned duties while representing the core values of Penn State York. The winner will be announced in early January 2024.

The Staff Advisory Committee (SAC), formerly known as the Staff Advisory Council, started this award in 2021-22. It is modeled after the Positive Paws program at Penn State's University Park campus. The Paws Up award was initially given quarterly but now is an annual award.

Nominations are reviewed by a subcommittee comprised of eligible staff who are not a part of the same department as the nominees.

Submit nominations no later than 5 p.m. Dec. 11.
