Penn State York political science students took a sneak peek at Pennsylvania State Auditor General Eugerne A. DePasquale's television commercials when he visited their class on Sept. 14. Jon Price, instructor in history and political science and Division of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) adviser, invites elected officials from both partiies to visit his classes and share their experiences.
There’s still time to donate school supplies for children in need. The Penn State York Council on Family Relations (CFR) Club and the Human Development and Family Studies Affiliated Program Group (APG) of the Penn State York Alumni Society have joined forces with Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness (ECYEH), to help collect school supplies now through Sept. 30 at the campus.
Pencils, pens, paper, calculators, erasers, glue, notebooks and other items can be dropped off in collection boxes located throughout the campus through Sept. 30. School supplies are being collected by the Penn State York Council on Family Relations (CFR), and the Human Development and Family Studies Affiliate Program Group (APG) of the Penn State York Alumni Society, and will be given to homeless children through Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness.

Attendees at the College Town Takeover on Sunday, Sept. 18, at PeoplesBank Park, will have the opportunity to pick-up information about Penn State York and the other colleges involved in the day.
The College Town Takeover is a is collaborative effort between Penn State York, Harrisburg Area Community College, and York College of Pennsylvania, designed to introduce students to the many things available to do in York City, and to encourage businesses to find ways to make York a student-friendly town. Officials from all three institutions of higher education had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the 2015 celebration, and will do the same this year. The program begins at 12:30 p.m. and game time is 1:00 p.m.
Get that drive-in movie experience when Penn State York features “Finding Dory,” a family-friendly film including many of the characters from “Finding Nemo,” and “Captain America: Civil War,” a movie for mature audiences, on Sept. 16. The event is free and open to campus and community members.
Penn State York's drive-in movie brings together members of the campus and the local community for a a night of fun. Parking begins at 6:30 p.m., with the first film, "Finding Dory," beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Penn State York will transform the parking lot behind the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) into a free drive-in move on Friday, Sept. 16. The featured films are "Finding Dory" and "Captain America: Civil War." This popular event is open to campus and community members. Parking begins at 6:30 p.m.
Francyou (Franc) Esse, 20, a Penn State York student from Port au Prince, Haiti, took part in the community blood drive sponsored by the campus, Fox 43 and the American Red Cross. He is a junior majoring in information sciences and technology.
