Penn State York adult students are inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda, and take part in saying the oath in front ot family and friends attending the ceremony on on Monday, May 1 at the campus. Alpha SIgma Lambda is a national honor society that recognizes the unique achievements demonstrated by adult students in higher education programs. Penn State York began a chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda in 1991 to recognize the accomplishments of its growing adult student population.
Pennsylvania College of Technology will hold three commencement ceremonies May 12-13 at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport for the more than 900 students who have petitioned to graduate following the spring 2017 semester.

Penn State York is offering a four-day SAT preparation course July 24-27. The course is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday in Room 101 of the John J. Romano Administration Building on campus.
Penn State York’s men’s baseball team had to win against Penn State Worthington Scranton in order to advance to the playoffs in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC). The team needed to win one of two games in a doubleheader on April 26. Not only did they win one, York swept the doubleheader and clinched the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Division of the PSUAC.
Penn State York's baseball team fought a hard battle against Penn State Mont Alto at PeoplesBank Park in York, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 22. The game was called at the end of the fifth inning and York lost 3-2. Luckily, York swept their two games against Penn State Worthington Scranton on April 26 to clinch the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Division of the PSUAC, and head to the playoffs.
