Penn State University Libraries presented the 2025 Undergraduate Research Awards: Excellence in Information Literacy honors to 104 students at 20 undergraduate Penn State campuses this spring.
Associate Professor of Biology Anne Vardo-Zalik travels to the Hopland region of California every two years to conduct ecology research. When she presented the possibility of participating in research to fourth-year biology major Laine Rigel and third-year biology major Natalie Weigel, they said they knew they couldn’t pass on the opportunity.

All faculty, staff and students at all campuses are encouraged to visit the Strategic Plan website to review and provide feedback on the draft plans for four goal areas.

Studying the circadian rhythm — or 24-hour internal 'clock' — of spiders and creating a video on the topic may not be something most people have considered. For Logan Coomes, a Penn State York student, and his team, their research and video earned a People’s Choice Award and a third-place finish in a national video competition, the Fund It Forward Student Video Challenge, sponsored by The Science Coalition.
