For a portion of his class this semester, students used Meta Quest 2 headsets with Horizon Workrooms to bring together students from Penn State York, Abington, and Harrisburg.

Students experience virtual reality in college course

Bill Cantor, assistant teaching professor in information sciences and technology at Penn State York, will share his experience using virtual reality (VR) headsets in his course during a lunch and learn set for Monday, April 3, at noon via Zoom.

5 student startups win funding in Inc.U Competition

Student startup Bindr, a dating app that provides a safe space online for bisexual individuals, won $15,000, the largest prize amount, in the 2023 Invent Penn State Inc.U Competition. The competition, part of Penn State Startup Week powered by PNC, saw six Penn State student teams pitch their startups to a panel of judges and compete for up to $30,000 in funding.

Penn State York will take on Penn State Schuylkill in a doubleheader Saturday, April 1, at WellSpan Park in downtown York. The games are free and open to the public.
