More than 15,000 Penn State students from across the commonwealth, including 28 from York campus, gathered for the Penn State Dance Marathon, better known as THON, to conquer pediatric cancer. For all but two members of the York THON group, it was their first time at THON.

The dancers representing Penn State York -- Zach Benzel and Moustafa Elhasany -- completed the 46-hour dance marathon, and were excited to be a part of a history-making event.

THON continues to be the largest student-run philanthropy in the world and is committed to enhancing the lives of children impacted by childhood cancer by providing emotional and financial support, spreading awareness, and ensuring funding for critical research at Penn State Children’s Hospital.
