Bob Lehman, a lieutenant in University Police and Public Safety at Penn State, takes the opportunity to bleed for a good cause and help save lives during a community blood drive at Penn State York several years ago. He is a regular blood donor. Penn State York, Fox43 news, and the American Red Cross are partnering for a community blood drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, in the conference center at Penn State York. All blood donors are required to wear masks while in University buildings.

Jeff Barkdoll, athletic director and former head baseball coach at Penn State York, will manage the Susquehanna Valley Stars baseball team who will take on Team Israel in a pre-Olympic competition at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on July 17 at noon. Some current and former Penn State York baseball players will take part in the contest.
Visitors can scan the QR code on blue signs located on the exterior of the main entrances to buildings across the campus and learn more about them. This sign features the QR code for the Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration, the newest building on campus.
The new Self-Guided Tour at Penn State York allows visitors to travel the campus at their own pace and learn about what it has to offer. Visitors can use their cell phone to scan QR codes and hear audio clips about the buildings on this 11-stop tour at any time, including off-hours and weekends. Students played a key role in creating the tour.
