The almost 8,000-square-foot Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration features an open-concept floor plan and provides flexible space that can accommodate small collaborative student group work, individual mentoring sessions, and formal classes or lectures, as well as large events and presentations. Students can take advantage of a variety of collaborative workspaces, spots to connect, and state-of-the-art technology.
The Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration is the newest building at Penn State York with a dedication and open house set for Thursday, Sept. 30 from 12:30-2 p.m. This rear view of the two-story building shows off the building's design and location on top of a hill overlooking the campus. The state-of-the-art facility is home to the Graham Fellows Program for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Center for Inclusive Leadership.

Strong Winds, an oil painting by Ophelia Chambliss, was the cover on the first issue of "Any Other Word," the campus online magazine, back in 2007. Chambliss, a Penn State graduate who started her degree at Penn State York, is a well-known local artist and also an adjunct faculty member at Penn State York and Penn State Harrisburg. She recently was the recipient of the Dorrie Leader Advocacy Award.
Submissions are now being accepted for the Penn State York Literary Competition sponsored by the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) and "Any Other Word," the campus online magazine. Isabel Barbera and Ariel Barbera, editors for the magazine and judges for the competition, left to right, talk with Noel Sloboda, associate professor of English and adviser for the magazine, about the creative arts contest which includes fiction, poetry, and magazine cover art. Students are encouraged to submit work by October 31.
Penn State York students started the fall semester on Aug. 23 with plenty of Welcome Week activities sponsored by the University Programming Board (UPB).
