Penn State York completed an amazing 2022-23 season in women’s volleyball with a second-place win in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) and then again made history in Penn State York Athletics with earning the runner-up slot in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In celebration of Black History Month, students, faculty, and staff had the opportunity to try soul food during Global Eats and watch a performance by The Dwennimmen African Dance Community. Events are offered throughout the year celebrating diversity.
Logan Coomes, right, a spring 2023 graduate at Penn State York student who majored in biology, worked with Andy Landis, associate professor of chemistry, doing some undergraduate research projects. Coomes also did research with other faculty members in the sciences. The campus offers a variety of opportunities for students interested in research.
Graham candidates, Penn State York students in the Graham Fellows Program for Entrepreneurial Leadership (Graham Fellows Program), have the opportunity to network with Corporate Partners of the Graham Fellows Program during an evening event on campus. Students share their elevator pitches, practice introductions, and meet potential internship providers and employers. This is an annual event.
The Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration (The Graham Center) is the newest building on campus and is home to the Graham Fellows Program for Entrepreneurial Leadership (Graham Fellows Program) and the Center for Inclusive Leadership (CIL). The almost 8,000 square-foot, two-story building features an open-concept floor plan and provides flexible space that can accommodate small collaborative student group work, individual mentoring sessions, and formal classes or lectures, as well as large events and presentations. All students can take advantage of a variety of collaborative workspaces, spots to connect, and state-of-the-art technology.
