Penn State York's free cultural series continues on Thursday, Oct. 12 with a lecture and performance by Anthony Ward, gay improvisational floral sculptor and dancer.  The performance, at 7 p.m. in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) on campus, is open to the public.

Mohamed decided to join the Lion Ambassadors and share his love of the campus with prospective students and other visitors. The Lion Ambassadors are a part of the Student Government Association (SGA) on campus, and work closely with the admissions office to provide campus tours, fundraisers, and social events on behalf of the campus.

Gary Eberle, owner and operator of Eberle Winery in Paso Robles, California, will share his story with students in The Graham Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies at noon Sept. 27 at Penn State York. Eberle first shared his story with students at theYork campus in 2012. He is a Penn State alum, and his winery is one of the longest continuously run family wineries in Paso Robles.

York Santa for Soldiers 2017

Santa's elves, Michelle Cruz, president of the Penn State York Blue and White Society, left, and Kerry Almeida, vice president, don their blue and white hats to check out the donations for the Santa for Soldiers project. Items will be sent to soldiers in the U.S. Army National Guard stationed in Afghanistan. The collection continues through Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Mohamed El Sonbaty began his Penn State story at Penn State York. He has a keen interest in electrical engineering, and spent time in the electrical engineering labs on campus. His goal is to someday help other countries using technology and science.

Glatfelter Library on campus, right, presented Valerie Carrington, a trivia participant and Penn State York student majoring in English, a bucket of patriotic items and a Starbucks gift card, following the WE ARE the people Constitution Day contest.  Everyone who participated in the event had the opportunity to win the prize.
