It was a special day at Penn State York as the dirt flew during the groundbreaking ceremony April 17 for the Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration. Lifting shovels of dirt, left to right, are Madlyn Hanes, vice president for Commonwealth Campuses and executive chancellor; David Christiansen, chancellor of Penn State York; Donald Graham, local philanthropist, campus supporter, and chairman and founder of the Graham Group; and Penn State President Eric Barron. The ceremony drew a crowd of more than 120 people.
Penn State York will break ground on the Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at the campus. This architect's rendering shows the first floor of the planned building. Penn State President Eric Barron, York campus representatives, and other University officials will take part in the ceremony.
