Robotics will be in action throughout the weekend at Penn State York with 53 teams competing in the game SKYSTONE. More than 1,000 people are expected to be a part of the events over the two-day period.
The Nittany Lion is right in the middle of the action as high school students prepare their robots for competition during last year's First Tech Challenge (FTC) South Central Pennsylvania Qualifier, held at Penn State York in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center. This year's competition is set for Saturday, Jan. 18, with the Blue and White Qualifier set for Sunday, Jan. 19. The events are free and open to the public, and opening ceremonies are at 11 a.m. each day.

Penn State York Benefiting THON is joining with the American Red Cross for a blood drive on Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Precision Custom Components (PCC) Community Room in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center on campus. The blood drive is open to the public.

The Zuzu Acrobats, a five-person Kenyan acrobatics show, is set to perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center at Penn State York. This is a free performance and tickets are not needed.

Dawn Hill, Maddie's mom, shared a few words during the last ceremony. Penn State York Benefiting THON and the campus community will honor her at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 between the women's and men's basketball games. The event is free and open to the public.
