Mindy Gruzin, a recent Penn State York graduate, preserves spider embryos for gene expression as part of an undergraduate research project she did at the campus prior to the University's move to remote learning. Gruzin now is headed to medical school in the fall, with a full-ride scholarship to pursue internal medicine and primary care.
Remote Teaching: Tools, Tips, and Hints is being offered via Zoom through Penn State York Continuing Education. The four-week course was designed to help educators face the challenges due to Covid-19 and switching from face-to-face to remote learning.

Penn State Laureate William Doan visited Penn State York on November 6 and worked with a class along with doing a public presentation during common hour. Students had the chance to meet Doan and learn about his work and The Anxiety Project.
Penn State York celebrated the success of its year-long fundraising drive to purchase books for the York County Head Start, Early Head Start, and Pre-K Head Start programs of the Community Progress Council. The campaign raised $2,316 allowing for the purchase of 520 copies of “Not a Box” in English and 174 in Spanish, which were given to children in all their programs. In addition, 117 copies of “Barnyard Banter” were donated for the Pre-K program. The Penn State York Nittany Lion presented copies of the “Not a Box” book to children from one class at the Community Progress Council on April 10. This project was a partnership between Penn State York, Martin Library, and the Community Progress Council.
