My-Hoa Do, a student at Penn State York and president of the Heroes of Penn State (HoPS,) shows off some of the items that have been collected for people in need. HoPs along with the Penn State York Student Government Association (SGA), Lion Ambassadors (LA), and University Programming Board (UPB) are collecting non-perishable food and hygiene items to distribute in the local community. The groups are working with the Impact Foundation of the York Suburban Education Foundation.
Penn State York proudly displays the American flag and the flags of each branch of the military in the upper atrium area of the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) on campus. Cameron Flemmens, a student-veteran at Penn State York, served in the U.S. Marine Corp, and the red flag directly behind him represents the Marines Corps.
Cameron Flemmens, a student-veteran and nontraditional student, is thankful for the benefits he has received from the G.I. Bill. Flemmens is also grateful to the faculty and staff at Penn State York for all their support.
Paige Wingert, CEO of L2 Brands, is the featured speaker for the York LaunchBox on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m., in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), Nov. 16-20. The program is free and open to the public.
