The winning writers of Penn State University Libraries Short Stories’ “A Night at the Circus” spring 2021 contest have been announced. Representing five Penn State campuses, the latest writing contest encouraged students, faculty and staff across the commonwealth to submit their best circus-themed creative writing in the form of short stories or poetry.
Give Local York fundraiser is set for May 7 and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Penn State York hopes to raise funds to help sustain their programming for adults who never want to stop learning.
A proud supporter of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Penn State York, Diane Delozier plans to participant in Give Local York (GLY) 2021. Delozier has been a member of OLLI since 2016 and is an active participant in courses and other programs designed for adults who never want to stop learning.
The Lower Pullo Center Parking Lot, near Pullo Center at Penn State York is one of the campus locations that now has WiFi service due to a massive University-wide project to increase wireless availability. In past years, this parking lot was also used for movie night events.
Spring commencement is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8 when Penn State York holds its ceremony in PeoplesBank Park in downtown York, Pennsylvania. This is the campus' first ceremony at the ballpark. All COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
"Pomp and Circumstance" isn't normally a song heard at a ballpark but on Saturday, May 8 at 11 a.m., Penn State York will hold its first in-person commencement in more than a year at PeoplesBank Park in downtown York, Pennsylvania. The event is not open to the public and students, faculty, staff, and guests will need a ticket to attend.
