Virtual youth summer programs with a focus on STEM or entrepreneurship are being offered through Penn State York in partnership with Penn State Mont Alto. Programs are happening throughout the summer and are geared to middle and high school students.
Madison Forbes, who just finished her junior year at Penn State York, was honored with the Outstanding Student Employee Award given by Penn State University Libraries. This is a University-wide award and Forbes was selected from across the Penn State system to receive the Student Leadership Award.
The Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration (The Graham Center) is the newest building on campus. The almost 8,000 square-foot, two-story building features a variety of collaborative work spaces, meeting rooms, spots to connect, and state-of-the-art technology.
"Emily's Wonder Lab" host, Emily Calandrelli, is the featured speaker at 9 a.m. Friday, May 14 for the virtual Pathways to Your Future: Exploring STEAM Careers offered by Penn State York. This is the 24th year for the program but the first time it is being offered virtually because of the pandemic.
Emily Calandrelli is the featured speaker for the Pathways to Your Future: Exploring STEAM Careers program offered through Penn State York. The program, normally held in person, is being offered virtually. Calandrelli will share her story of transitioning from a career as an engineer to hosting a Emmy-nominated science television show on Netflix, "Emily's Wonder Lab," and other science-related programs. Calandrelli is also the author of the chapter book series, "The Ada Lace Adventures."
Penn State York students enjoyed an in-person commencement ceremony at PeopleBankPark in York, Pennsylvania, on May 8. The campus celebrated its first in-person commencement since fall 2019.
